CELL
At one Jamming session, I wanted to explore the idea of gatherings and started from the concept of a “cell.” But no one really knew what it looked like or what it meant.

EPISODES
For a while, no one cares about my job or what I’m dealing with. We simply talk about whether our voices match, how many mushrooms we found, or what happened in the latest episode of ZOO.

CAPITALISM
Here, we paint together. There’s no competition. It works. Strange, original ideas and situations emerge. Can jamming somehow push back against capitalism?

PIG
I bring my children to jamming. They draw freely on the big canvas. Anything goes—except that sometimes someone paints over their little pig. It’s heartbreaking.

IMPRINT
I came to print with Marek, and in the end, I just spent an hour listening. I leave overflowing with words.

WORLD PROBLEMS
Sometimes I tell myself that Barvolam is a luxury. The real problems of the world lie elsewhere. And yet, here I am, confronted with my own small struggles.

IMPRESSION
When I’m here, I feel strongly that the balance of the world is quietly held by mothers and autistic people.

GIFT-AVERAGE
How did I learn to “facilitate”? I watch over shoulders, hold back, wait. I don’t judge. Despite my effort, I remain an average facilitator. I lack something I’ve observed in others, something I cannot imitate.

SCALE
Sometimes I feel embarrassed. My academic training doesn’t reach the quality of what emerges here. So I am learning to draw.

ENERGY
There are few of us, and everything demands so much energy. Is this art, work, or service? Who can take it on? Who will pay the last rent? Who can carry it all?

BEST WORK
A friend visits Barvolam and says: “You have the best job in the world.”

IRREPLACEABILITY
Are we all replaceable? Maybe. Yet it’s never quite the same when someone else tries, in a different moment. We exist here and now. Can anyone else do this for us?
